The Norwegian Flute Ensemble - Symphony for Flute Ensemble

The Norwegian Flute Ensemble has a flexible and versatile orientation towards repertoire, genres and styles. The ensemble has made achievements within the fields of classical music, contemporary music, and commercial music productions. The number of players varies from 7 to 24, depending on the instrumentation, repertoire and the need for different types of flutes. A main direction for the artistic activity is to encourage composers to write music for multiple flutes, thereby to enlarge and broaden the literature for flute ensembles.
